If anyone has a terrible reputation for working with others, it's Weis. It's well known in football circles that he has an ego the size of Texas, and in my brief encounters with him it sure seems accurate. He is extraordinarily smart, but he's a "my way or the highway" guy when it comes to schemes and gameplans, and is a bit awkward in social situations.
Also not sure where you're getting that bit about Weis' wife. They still have their huge pad in South Bend, but she's been living in KC. I don't think they ever really embraced KC though; it's been more of an in-between spot to sit before they figured out where they really wanted to go. Charlie's son was originally planning to go to Texas, but when the Florida thing came up they all decided to make it happen.

That bit about his wife in entirety: His wife never really lived here in KC. Your bit: They still have their huge pad in South Bend, but she's been living in KC. I don't think they ever really embraced KC though; it's been more of an in-between spot to sit before they figured out where they really wanted to go.
You obviously know more about the situation, but we are largely saying the same thing. Yes they had a house here in Risk Lake, and she may very well have been here at times, but I was told that she never really lived in KC, made it her home. You also state they never embraced KC, it was an in-between spot. Only relevent because imo Charlie never had intentions to stay in KC and planned all along to bolt once his boy finished @ St. Pius. I just don't think he planned on it being a trip back to the college game, by his own admission.
