If he was hurt then TV did the worst job in history of covering it. Guy who was the star of the first half gets hurt and they aren't talking about it? |
Unlike everyone else...I thought the 4th and 1 call was the right call...charles in space had been working all day. Crennel on the other hand...he flat pissed me off with his conservative "bend don't break" bullshit...the playcalling after the 4th and 1 turned awful but I was ok with that call and people are mad because we didn't execute...so regardless of what was called it would be getting blasted today for not working...if charles takes that pitch for another score the staff are heroes.

Haloti ngata...we were running outside all game...I was even shouting pitch left before the play was called...the ravens loaded up heavy left so cassel probably audibled right (maybe not) and it got stopped....I was so disappointed in the game and the effort displayed but this call wasn't a bad call at all it just wasn't executed.

Still doesnt make sense to run a pitch with a foot to go to extend the drive. It wasnt even a true pitch. It was an inside fake then a pitch. Christ... run an I-form with Battle leading the way and take your pick. 1) Let Battle blow up the inside or 2) Run Charles right behind him.

I don't think its as easy as you're trying to paint it...we gained yards on that sweep every time in the 1st half...we weren't running inside at all because it wasn't gonna be there...just my opinion of course.

That was not an audible. No QB ever audibles to a toss sweep on 4th and a foot, you ****ing moron. Do you ever not just make shit up as you go?
Besides, the guy who blew the play up wasn't Ngata, it was Gregg. And a toss sweep is a terrible call when you have a 10 man front because there is nowhere for the RB to go. There is no illusion or threat of a pass there. The right call was to pound it up Waters' ass using Asamoah or Smith as a lead blocker. |

and DJ got humiliated by Rice all day |
I didn't say cassel audibled the play...just may have flipped it from a run left to a run right because the ravens overloaded the left side of the field and the right looked open...I was highly critical of the game plan but this was the one thing that didn't piss me off...but hey hamas...no big deal you have all the answers...charles wasn't gaining 10 yards a pop on outside runs up until that point or anything...maybe pioli can read this thread and replace weis with you since you're such an offensive mastermind

You know why teams don't run toss sweeps on G2G from the one? Same reason. It's also far more complicated to flip a toss sweep than it is an off tackle play because of the pulling guards. We didn't have the same hesitation that would indicate such a check before the snap. |

I agree 1000000% that the problem will be when the CBA is agreed on, and if we still are say in the bottom half of spending. I'd like to see us rise to about the middle....if we remain in the bottom I will feel like we have a problem. I think you and I are pretty much in agreement from how I am reading it...I fully meant my comments to be directed at 'when the player VS owner problems are setteled.' |
Oh really? I saw the eagles run a toss sweep to mccoy on 4th and 1 against the giants (I think) in a pivotal part of the game that went for a 50 yard td...but no teams do that...except for those shitty chiefs with the best outside runner in the nfl...if there was any reason not to run that play it is because it was predictable...as I was begging for a toss left before they ran the play...in my opinion...it was a good call...and after it wasn't executed it was the last even debatablely good call of the game on offense or defense.
