I think if Allen was healthy....he'd be our RT right now.

A lot of Oregon State games? No, I don't see every game. I live in the middle of B1G country, not on the Pacific Coast. I've seen a few of his games this year. I don't dislike Mannion, I just fallen off of my "I want him" list. Read that as I don't want him to be a Chief as much as a few other QBs. I wouldn't be pissed about drafting the kid. I like Carden better though, for the reasons I stated. I've seen Carden a few times too. Both have benefited from very good receivers in their careers and that is something to note going forward.

That seems like the absolute perfect 1st round pick, from Dorsey's perspective that is. Poe is going to be a FA after the 2015 season. Just the right time to draft for his position and let the draftee sit on the bench for a year.

kccrow 12-05-2014 05:26 PM

Since Dee Ford is a bust thusfar, I'm guessing Dorsey's looking glass will have Lorenzo Mauldin at the top. :D Looking back, that would have been the right way to go about it. Draft a WR last year... draft an OLB this year... but noooooooooooo....

McGoo and Fisher should go camping and toast AIDS-marshmallows together.

Newly updated.

This is the best mock I've ever seen from you Sac

Jesus Christ, it's inescapable:

"fatty up high!
qb low",
fatty up high!
qb low
fatty up high
qb low

fatty up high!
qb low,
welcome to the Chiefs,
moran show!

**** this noise. If this is what this franchise is always going to be about, then **** it right in it's putrid red and gold asshole.

jonzie04 12-26-2014 01:34 PM

amazing draft.

Sweet Daddy Hate 12-26-2014 02:05 PM

Yeah, I've got a spleen that says, "QB high".

Thx/bye!

O.city 12-26-2014 04:12 PM

Seems high for prewit, thought I saw him rated as a late rounder.

Maybe I'm wrong?

I've said it elsewhere, but I think Mannion is no worse than Nick Foles as a prospect and I think he's more Peyton Manning-lite than anything. He's really a good football player and would work exceptionally well in this system. I like him as well as any QB in this draft for the Chiefs.

Personally, I don't really care what round a guy is taken, as long as that guy works in the system. For this draft, I picked guys who I think will work well in either Reid's offense or Sutton's defense. You might think that passing over some player and picking another is a bad thing, but it's better than trying to pound a round peg into a square hole.

Fair point.

I'd like a different hole, please.

I can't imagine him on the board past the mid-third round at worst and realistically a high to mid second rounder. The guy has everything you'd want in a safety - great instincts, prototype size, hits like a ton of bricks and has a knack for making the big play.

I've read where some people think he's played conservative in 2014, perhaps trying to protect himself, but the games I've watched it almost looks like the offense is avoiding him. I think he stood out more than Ole Miss' All-American CB Senquez Golson. (Who is going to make someone a very fine nickle corner in his own right.)

Regardless, Prewitt was still named first team All-Conference (SEC) by the coaches and second team All-American in 2014 after being named first team All-American in 2013.

Putting round pegs in square holes is easy. It's the square pegs into round holes that gives me fits.
