And please don't confuse my defense of that play as blind homerism...I have never left a game early and I was pissed at fans for staying and supporting that piece of shit effort/gameplan

There is no way you can justify running that play on 4th and a foot.

Just like there would be no way to justify getting stuffed for a loss running inside into haloti ngata...this is a game always played by captain hindsight fans...doesn't matter what play is called if we don't pick it up its going to be the worst playcall ever according to our know-it-all fan base...unless mccluster dropped a pass or something that would have been the ultimate treat. If charles hadn't gotten 8 yards every pitch prior id agree most likely...you know what play irritated me more??? The 3rd and 2 run to thomas jones...he shoudlnt have played a snap.

How many yards did the offense have? Less then 200. It was vital to control the clock, especially against a physical team like the ravens. The offense never once looked like it could control the clock. The results? the defense wore down. Oh, and FIVE turnovers. Don't put this on the defense.

Defense gave up a 3rd and 12 in the 1st half that resulted in a td and a huge momentum shift...the defense and that pussy scheme can lick my ****ing nuts.

I really don't understand why we couldn't make the adjustment on the same ****ing route Heap kept running. It was like a glitch play in a video game.
Going for it on 4th down was definitely the right call. The play call was indeed awful. If it had been a regular toss sweep with the FB leading out there with Charles, that would have been fine. But, they tried to get cute. Succup wasn't going to hit a FG from there. At halftime, he was missing a bunch at that end from only 40 yards. |
