Is Garrett Mills any good?

At 6'2" and 240 it is hard to picture him as a tight end. But he won several games for Tulsa. I saw him play twice and was impressed. He had 12 catches against OU and kept TU within 4 points until 8 minutes remained. He may become a good H back for somebody.

His stats:

Hard to tell what he'll do in the NFL.

He's pretty badass. Easily the second-best #20 in C-USA last year. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him do well in the NFL.

Isn't that about Kris Wilson's size? And that game was an anomaly. OU is going to go back to dominating Tulsa again next year.

Not really, at least not when it comes to Mills. He's a playa.

I have no idea. 4-5, if I had to guess, but I haven't really been keeping up with him.

When we are up in the 5th round, if WR Brandon Marshall is still there, I'd snap him.

God, yes.

I may just be saying that because of the residual emotional scars from watching him torch our secondary, but he is quite impressive. He's huge, athletic, and flat-out productive (even when he was flipped to safety in 2004 due to UCF's injury problems). He would be an absolute steal in the fifth.

ChiefsCountry 04-29-2006 01:55 AM

He is a H-Back I say in the NFL.

Are we talking about Mills or Marshal here?

Ultra Peanut 04-30-2006 10:20 AM

And that's that... Mills is a Patriot, and Marshall is a -- gag -- Donk.

This is what we thought when he was drafted.

Thank you, o' keeper of Chiefsplanet lore.

And UP nailed one with Brandon Marshall in this thread.
