Prayers for my mom
 

A few days before my birthday five years ago I learned my mother had cancer. Now my dad told me that they are stopping the chemo therapy because she's too sick and affraid it would do more harm than good. He said they have another appointment with the doctor in May. Hospice will come and take care of her. I think I know what this means but at the moment i'm having a tough time acknowledging it. So if you could please keep my mother in your prayers. Thanks guys.

Lost my mom 6 years ago this May. In trying to find something fitting to say at her service I came across this on the subject of mothers, and I'm paraphrasing: "There is no one person a man tries to grow away from that he misses more when they're gone".

Mr Billay, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I hate cancer. It's taken some very good people from me. I've had it and so far I've been clean for over four years. It's going to be hard but you'll get through this. When I think about my mom, I remember the good times, it helps. You do the same and know other people are hurting with you.

You know, I have been down for a little while now, just due to some financial issues and some bad luck I have encountered. Threads like this really make me think about my whining attitude and really make me realize that life is too short to be down about everything.
