I don't think this is the worst team, just the worst orginization of a team. There is Talent, Like a snake with no head.

No question this year. I wasnt around in 77, but the other recent crap teams have at least been trying to build through the draft and admitted they were going young. This team was supposedly an all out effort to go for a super bowl (or in Chiefs terms, a playoff win).

Its also worse thinking that this team is yet another step in dismantling what had been a very promising base for a contender. Pollard, Gonzalez, and Waters were shown the door immediately, Carr is gone, Bowe and Albert are probably next.

Worst Team and Worst Organization hands down.

I can't judge the 1977 team, I wasn't alive. this team is really damned shitty, though. hard to imagine they were worse.

What I remember of the 77 team was that it was just ho-hum boring and talentless. Some names from the past who were at the end of their careers.

I don't remember them being blown out all the time, turning the ball over this much.

You know, I just went and looked up stats at profootballreference.com, and sonuvagon, that 77 team DID turn the ball over a ton. A TON.

This team has lost by 28 or more points more times in the 4 years under Pioli than they have in ALL OF THE REST OF THEIR EXISTENCE COMBINED.

CB - '12 barely because Flowers is better now than he was in '08. Carr as a rookie was pretty bad.

Coaching - oddly enough '08 because Gailey is a quality coordinator.

This team has set or matched NFL records for ineptitude. This team is the laughing stock of the modern NFL. This team has the #1 overall pick in the draft.

And yet, some crazy bastards thought that they deserved five Pro Bowl nominations.

This is the worst team because the have talent and potential, yet suck so ****ing much. Worst GM in Chiefs history. Worst coach in Chiefs history. Worst offensive coordinator in the history of the NFL. Train wreck.

Don't remember the 1977 team, but the 2008 team was devoid of talent. This one has talent (5 Pro Bowlers!!!) and has put up historically bad numbers. There is no question that this team which was a dark horse pick to win the AFC West (in spite of Denver having Manning) is the worst ever.

Definitely the worst I've ever seen. I'm not old enough to remember the 70's team but this team is by far the worst coached team I've ever seen.

I am going with this 2012 team, because I have never felt this total lack of any hope whatsoever going into every single game.

I have never felt that any team prior to this one was out of every game as soon as the opponent had a lead of 8 points or more, and in most cases, a lead of 3 points.

Never, ever, have i witnessed such a emotionally void, poorly schemed game.

They quit, none of them want to play in KC right now... and its hard to blame them, to pick just one thing, daboll is truly the worst OC in our history, his lack of imagination defies description.

Run the ball left, right and middle successfully at times but never switches it up with play action, just keeps trying to hammer it like a 10 year old having some success with it on madden.

And every time i see dex lined up out wide, puppies die... he's literally dwarfed out there, no business out there, dropping catchable balls out there, its like the literal definition of insanity.

FORGET trying to scheme Charles into the passing game, no, just keep slamming your McClaren into the tree, daboll should be selling fishing gear.

Romeo... not ONCE did i see even an ounce of emotion, nor did i see him in fervid communication with his clown show assistants at critical moments, just kinda leaned there on his crutch for three hours.

By simple rating system, it's this one.

2008 team was -8.2. This one was -13.5 BEFORE the blowout today.

I haven't bothered to review or cut up one second of footage from the last 3 games.

That's how bad this is getting. I've been obsessive about cutting up Chiefs games since 2007 but my interest level in doing it is waning.

I'll get to those games at some point but just don't give a shit lately.

I don't blame you one bit. I can't even watch. I stopped during the 3rd quarter today, and I should've stopped after the first Broncos touchdown.

The 77 team was a collection of old seasoned veterans that was in their twilight years. They were not blown out like this years team of younger players......

There is no comparison, as bad as the 77 team was coached, it was light years ahead as being competitive than this team is.

Hard for me to say. I simply don't know much about teams before '91 or so. Itd be interesting to hear the perspective of old timers.

The season where the Chiefs went 2-14 with Herm Edwards ties with this year's squad as the worst Chiefs team in a single season. I'd say a dead heat between 2008 and 2012.
