More disappointing than Cassel choking like bitch?

Our coordinators

No one is surprised that Cassel couldn't rise to the occasion (Pats fans have long lectured us to love and accept this mediocrity), but both Crennel and Weis got their asses kicked.

These guys have rings, I expected better.

We have Charles, Moeaki, and that worthless midget McCluster....why couldn't we run that short middle stuff that the Ravens were killing us with?

And we couldn't throw a simple slant to Bowe?....Really?

Ravens destroyed us on 3rd down. Our early blitzes were worthless. The defense got better, and held them to fgs for a awhile, but we couldn't get them off the field in the first half when it was crucial.

It was obvious on the first drive that the Ravens OC saw a weakness in our defense, and exploited it.

I thought we had a great chance to win largely based on the pedigree of our coordinators. Still shocked.

I'll give props to Crennel. This is largely (other than Berry) the same defense as the last 10 years of defensive abortion. He schemed this group into doing far better than they should have. The main thing Sunday was the totally lopsided TOP, I saw player after player coming to the sideline gassed. If we could have sustained a few offensive drives to keep TOP close they would have been fresher and done a better job in my mind.

The D's failure on 3rd downs was just as big as the offense's inability to move the ball.

The defense didn't stand a chance when they were out on the field all day long.

The offense didn't help the defense out at all. I don't really put this on the D.

i agree, and i'm glad Crennel is staying and Weis leaving

but i still expected something better, i guess...figured they had some rabbits to pull out of their hats....the ravens had us schemed much better than we had them...

If you don't have the players then you don't havr the players no matter who is coaching.

+1

When you turn the flippin ball over 5 times, and in your own territory, we are lucky we held them to FG's versus TD's, and gave our O a chance. Unfortunately, the O was miserable, had no answer for the Ravens D, and folded like a card table early in the 3rd qtr (after the failed 4th down conversion). At that point, the game was OVER.

And I swear half of those were because McGraw was covering Heap.

The Ravens had us schemed with talent. Seriously they were 12-4 in the AFC East. Thats a tough frikken division.

That's true. McGraw is a damn disaster. Liability in coverage, and he's not as instinctual as you would expect from a vet.

The TD pass to Rice was McGraw's fault also.
