It’s rare - but possible - for the charges to be served consecutively rather than concurrently. But most prosecutors in MO/KS seek concurrent sentences (served at same time).
Remember that each charge has a separate burden of proof, too. So if he’s charged with 10 crimes, they may only be able to prove 6 beyond doubt. Or 3.
