It may not be fun right now, playing the waiting game, and of course we don't really get to compete in the dick measuring contest that is going on with each teams signings. I think it's wise though. ESPN will talk prematurely about who is doing the best in free agency, but it's not over. I think the Chiefs will be talked about highly when all is said and done.
Remember, Franklin and McClain haven't really been mentioned by anyone. So it's not like we're losing to anyone. There are plenty of top shelf guys left, and you haven't heard JACK about what is going on with them. Look at Zach Miller, heard anything about him?
I think they have probably done their homework. Assessed the players they like and who they don't. Established how those players will benefit them in conjunction with how they wish to be paid. How many years each guy is a viable option vs. how long they need him to be. All while feeling out the market for these players.
Nobody, as far as we know, has expressed much interest in Franklin. Does this make him a bit cheaper? There hasn't been the same feeding frenzy for NT's there has been in years past.

Also the automatic correlation that more action = better team doesn't really bare out. If we are going to the pull the trigger it would be nice to have guys so we get them here and get them acclimated and get everyone on the train for sure.
Side note. Baldwin's arms are long as hell. lol.
