TO is ready for another payday, just one year after siging a contract with the Eagles. I guess he wants another dose of that 10 mil signing bonus he got last year.

Not at all. When Priest Holmes had his breakout year, I felt he deserved a new contract, which he got. I would say the same with other players that are making at or near the league minimum that produce in a manner FAR beyond the comparable dollar value of the contract.

Owens was hired on as a top name receiver. Although his number of receptions last season was his lowest since 1999, and his yards were second lowest in the past 5 seasons, he is still a top receiver. He got his $10 mill, he certainly hasn't done anything over and above that signing bonus.

That said, there's a difference between paying a guy what he's worth, and getting bent over the bargaining table. If you were a GM, I'm guessing you'd be that redheaded chick in KCChiefsMan Vegas picture.

ESPN's Ed Werder reports Dallas Cowboys WR Keyshawn Johnson recently missed three days of team workouts. When head coach Bill Parcells called him to find out why he was not there, Johnson indicated he was not happy with his current contract. Johnson's agent, Jerome Stanley, only would confirm his client missed practice and would only say it was for "personal reasons."

Heh heh - I have the clarity to see both sides. If TO has anything to do with this, it's wrong. Having a basic understanding of how agents are compensated, I believe this new contract shit is at the behest of his new agent - not TO. In fact, it will likely only be some money shuffling - convert a bunch of salary to bonus money so the agent can have a payday.
