I got a job promotion! WOO-HOO!
ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

say hello to the new sports editor at my newspaper! That also means that as of next Saturday morning, I'm a two-job guy instead of a three-job guy and I won't be here on Friday overnights anymore!!!! I won't be working any less, though... the new title/job doesn't pay any better, but the overtime involved (at 1.5 times regular pay) will make up for the pay I receive at the overnight job... so, one less job, no drive to KC at $3 a gallon, i can get back to a normal sleep pattern, and I get to go out and cover sports... and THAT means that sometime in the very near future, you might see me on the sideline of a Chiefs game taking pictures!

Well, officially the position of "assistant" on the sideline will not be available. My brother, who is a long-time member here (but he's a lurker) informed me last night that he'll kick my ass if I offer it to ANYONE on the Planet before offering him... and frankly... he could do it.
