Chances are there's something screwy with your wireless card driver. You can usually get that from the manufacturer's website. If you have trouble, let me know what type of wireless card you're using and I'll see what I can do.

Where would I find what type of card I use?

I suppose the easiest way would be...
Control Panel: System: Hardware (tab): Device Manager Look under Network Adapters. One of those is your wireless card (it should be fairly obvious which one). |

OK, It's an Atheros AR 5004G.
On the list of downloads on Toshiba, there is a couple of Atheros available, but not the exact one of mine, see? Do I just pick one of those? Is it a replacement? EDIT: On that link it shows all 4000 downloads for some reason. My model is a Satellite M35X-S149 |

Their site's a bit confusing, but the Atheros "Driver LAN Wi-Fi" from 1-20-2005 should be it. Download it and install it and see what happens.

I don't have much time tonight, but you can give this a try. No guarantees, so good luck!
I found a link on another site that claims to be an updated driver for your wireless card. It's worth a try: http://seth.kvalitne.cz/atheros/atheros400167.zip |

It is doing the same things with the new one.
Any other ideas? |
