Whatever you want to think man. To lose 3 players that were considered to be some of the best KU players of all time and insert freshman the following season and to accomplish what they did last season was a result in the team gelling.

You act as if the Men's bball program at KU is falling apart due to Self. Newsflash, it's not and won't.

Having that said I would still want Roy back. Who wouldn't? The man is a HOF basketball coach, regardless even if he never won a National title, which now he has.

He would have taken all of them out of high school...and that's my point. Self has done exactly what you are talking about with Turgeon above. He has let the bad apples go once they showed their inability to mature. He even has given people a couple of chances (just like Turgeon). Turgeon hasn't done anything that Self hasn't, yet you claim that he is the perfect example. AGAIN, you are damn fool. Tell me, how would Turgeon have handled this differently?

EXACTLY...people act as if last year's squad was supposed to be a top tier team. They weren't. To win the regular season Big XII title and beat Texas for the Conference Tourney as well was a huge accomplishment for last year's team. No one expected them to make any kind of run last year. It's wasn't about "gelling" last year, it was about learning the team's identity with almost all minutes being played by Freshmen and Sophomores. They found their identity the last quarter of the season, but their lack of experience showed in the tournament. All in all, last year was a HUGELY successful year for the Jayhawks, considering the circumstances.
