Huard Stays In

I'm sorry. I've seen Trent Green when he's in top form. Like Damon Huard is right now. But putting Green back in the starting lineup here within a couple of weeks may be a disaster. Huard has a hot hand and you've got to play him out. Call it a quarterback controversy if you want. It's not that you must play Green. It's that you shouldn't sit Huard.

The MOST encouraging thing about Damon Huard is that EVEN THOUGH he won't throw for 4,000 yards this year, if he we NEED him put up 300 yards in a game, he has SHOWN he is CAPABLE OF DOING IT.

I don't believe it is that scaled back. Huard is making plenty of downfield throws and displaying similar levels of accuracy.

Im like a month older than Damon Huard. If I was a professional athlete... I would still be serviceable... past my prime a bit, but good for a couple more seasons.

heh. Put me in coach, Im mediocre enough.

honestly I'm playing a bit of Devils advocate here.
I don't think we should rush Green back as he'll be rusty and in the past it's always taken him a few weeks into the regular season before he really heats up.
Moot point though, he'll be in for the Oakland game in all likelihood.

This is a sticky situation, innit?
Huard is a dink & dunk QB but Green is not?

In order for you to attain mediocre status, you'd need 100 River Falls training camps in a row.

I've only attempted to catch the #1 rocket with my palms, dude. Anything beyond that is your twisted fantasy and I want no part of it.

im with Huard. All the arguments against are bullshit, imo. His passes are short. So what? At least he's not throwing them to the other team. His passes float. He's no Trent. This is Trent's team. Trent can go deep. All meaningless crap. Trent is a guy whos almost old enough to have an adult child and he's coming back from one mofo of a concussion. Keep Green catching his drool until Huard fuggs up. If Trentt is so awesome then he'll be great to have on the bench ready to go should Huard falter.
