About 2-3 weeks ago we called and ordered an HD-DVR/receiver. They sent us the wrong one; they sent us the regular DVR. We sent it back, called and got put on a list to get the HD one...

We called them tonight after a week later. We found out we were NOT put on the list. So we have to wait another ****ing 2-3 weeks for the damn thing. We're thinking about cancelling. We said send us one now, we already waited 3 weeks for one. They said they would be bumping someone down the list. WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN BUMPED DOWN THE LIST, NOW THIS IS BUMP #2!!! Is there a way we can get one sent out right away? We've already served our time, this is not right. It's not good customer service. Is there anyone above the supervisor you can talk to? It's a bunch of shit, we are seriously thinking about cancelling.

Is Dish Network better?

The local cable co was just as backed up on HD-DVR units [Moxi] as the satellite cos were back when I was weighing my options last spring. I stayed with the non DVR HD receiver from Dish, then upgraded to the 622 the weekend after I called in June b/c my dish was taken out by the storm.

I do like my latest Dish DVR, the 625. Non-HD, but two tuners. Software and hardware seem quite solid.
