K. Smith = Starting KC RB - Page 3

Now that Smith has proven (albeit one game) that he can be an NFL quality starting RB, will Herm keep LJ on the bench for a prolonged period of time either due to:

1. Just being cautious about the injury?

or

2. Smith is more explosive?

or

3. The injury is worse than they are letting on?

Smith showed some nice abilities today and I think the Chiefs are being overly optimistic about LJ's injury. IMO they are being more hopeful than anything. I believe he will miss at least two - three more weeks at a MINIMUM.

Herm let out a sigh of relief today after seeing Smith give a quality start. Now if they will just open the playbook for Croyle.

Geees you guys jump to conclusions quick. One game folks against a crappy raider run D. One game. That is it. You guys should know one game phenomenoms the best.....Q. Griffin raise a bell?

I will admit Smith did look good but hold his HOF induction another week or so.

I just read Smith ran for 150 yds, 2 TDs, 19 long. Amazing work for a rookie running back making his first NFL start.

griffins runs were not consistent gains like smiths were today..rather they were large gashes.

Regardless. he had a good game and showed alot of upside. many here thought he had alot of upside....look at it as an "I told you so"...blah blah blah

I definitely think that Smith will be up for Rookie of the Week this week.

I also think that the Raiders, like us, didn't know what to expect from him. Next week, the Chargers will.
