No Blackout....

I know there is already a thread about it but didn't want it buried.

Is this a good thing???

http://overthetop.kansascity.com/?q=node/462

No blackout: Chiefs will be on TV
Sunday's Chiefs-Broncos game will be televised locally on Channel 5 KCTV, even though the game has not completely sold out.

"We have met the league requirements for what constitutes a sellout," said Chiefs assistant director of public relations Pete Moris. "We got some tickets back from Denver earlier in the week and we have some tickets of our own still left for sale but we're close enough (to a sellout) per league rules to have the game shown here."

Generally, games must be sold out 72 hours in advance of kickoff to prevent any local television blackout, although extensions have been granted almost routinely in recent years.

Current league rules define a sell out as "equal to 50% of the seats in the staidum plus the remaining seats in proportion to the win-loss-tie record of the previousl year."

Really though, I think it's TiC.... and deep down, we're gluttons for punishment and want to see every excruciating moment . Well, I do until halftime anyway.

Nah. Denver will be running the ball the entire second half. No worries.

I am actually shocked that Chiefs/Broncs isn`t sold out. I have a lot of respect towards Chiefs fans. Always pack the house, always wearing Red and I`ve seen some of the best looking tailgate parties from KC.

I hope things turn around for you guys. I`ve always had a deep respect for KC fans throughout the years.

We don`t have non-sellouts here in NYC. We do have tons of no-shows for Jets games, but those people simply eat their tickets. Never understood how people pay $300+ for tickets and then eat them?

Need I remind you that from 1996 to 2003 we didn't have a winning season?

Also from 1983, to 1993 we had 2 winning season, and one was an 8-7 season.

So in a 20 year period, they had 4 winning seasons, but its still ****ed up that we have blackouts?
Bla bla bla bla.

YOUR TEAM IS A DEFENDING DIVISION CHAMPION

YOUR FAN BASE IS PATHETIC.

If the Chiefs were coming off a division championship Arrowhead would STILL be packed right now, even if we were 0-3. It was packed in 2004 when we were 0-3.

How many AFC championships you been to in 10 years?? Any Superbowls??

Is your fanbase trying to oust a greedy dickhead the likes of Carl?? Unlike Charger fans, we do not want to put up with shit for an extended peroid of time.. So blackouts and no shows are fans only weapons in change..

I think its time for you guys to stage a walkout ala the Lions 2 years ago. Within a couple years, CP will be fired.
