I know DBowe has his #80 tattoos all over his arms and talked about it a lot when he was a rookie that being his favorite number and all, but Webb wouldnt give it up. I doubt he switches to it, but I wouldnt be too surprised...

he would have to get clearance from the nfl since there are a ton of jerseys laying around. the same deal with chad johnson (im not calling that bastard ochocinco) wanted to change his name. reebok had too many jerseys and they said he would have to buy them all in order to make the switch.

Yep, that's the stipulation. Either the player pays for all the in stock current jerseys or waits a year or two for them to be sold is my understanding.

With Johnson I thought it was something like $60-70k and he wouldn't cough up the dough.

Players' won't pay for cabs after they've had too much so it shouldn't come as a shock they won't pay for extra jerseys. My two cents anyways.

Shame he wouldn't spend a bit, then give the jerseys out to Cincinnati schools. Best PR ever. Then again, he's and idiot.
