Update: Chiefs trade for TWO offensive lineman.....

...... because the lineman we have on the roster now aren't offensive enough!

Dolphins | Trade Alleman, Ndukwe to Chiefs
Mon, 24 Aug 2009 09:09:40 -0700
Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins have traded OG Andy Alleman to the Kansas City Chiefs for an undisclosed late-round draft pick in 2010, according to a league source. The trade also involves sending OG Ike Ndukwe to the Chiefs, according to Jeff Darlington, of the Miami Herald.

I guess my point is they don't go out and do crazy things and spend wildly. For the most part they are frugal which fits in with Lamar's image. He would always ride coach on airplanes never first class.

He is not as old as Lamar was though.

A good example of old frugal people is the Steelers. But boy do they know how to run a NFL franchise.

That dumb shit. Seriously, who cares? The guy is worth billions and he flies coach? What an asshole. I hate all that "humble" shit. If I'm a billionaire, I'm flying my Gulfstream everywhere.

If you have a million dollars, it doesn't become two million because you save it. It becomes two million because you invest it, whether it's real estate, a capital venture, etc.

I think that the early success of the Chiefs possibly created a culture of "everything's gonna' be alright; just roll with it"-type apathy that just degenerated and degenerated over time.

The fact that this franchise maintained a fan-base through the mid-70's to late 80's just blows my ****ing mind.

No thanks.

Seriously.

People earn respect from me when they actually earn respect. I don't give it automatically.

And being a Chiefs fan for more than 40 years, sitting in a empty stadium watching a sub-par team year after year pretty much insures my right to not respect him.

I don't respect David Glass. Why should I respect Lamar Hunt?

Oh, that's right: I shouldn't.

First thing is you can't put Lamar Hunt and David Glass in the same sentence. One did great things for his sports while the other is a dumbass.

Second I didn't realize you were so old. Have you forgotten to take your Metamucil today?

Third Lamar brought a championship to this city albeit a long time ago and we have come close several times since then. Hopefully Clark will have better luck.

And yes you should respect Lamar he brought NFL football to KC and was one of the reasons why the NFL is so successful today

Good night Dane

No, it's not. The NFL wouldn't have ceased to exist if there wasn't a franchise in Kansas City. That's a ludicrous statement.

The difference between me and you is the fact that I meet self-made multimillionaires all the time. I'm not in awe of someone who's made money and I'm certainly not in awe of Lamar Hunt.

And considering that David Glass has run the Royals franchise into the ground for the past 15 years, I don't know how you don't compare Hunt to Glass.

Lamar Hunt only brought the team to Kansas City cuz he got a sweet deal. If anyone should be credited for bringing to football to Kansas City it should be the mayor.

I'm not a fan of drafting OL unless there are no exceptional free agent guys available. If the left tackle is a bust...it busts up your QBs and HBs.
I'll tell you why coaches don't get that.

Because Ben Roethlisberger won a SB with a crap O-Line and a superior defense.
