Vincent Jackson expected to miss “at least” two weeks

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on November 29, 2010, 6:34 PM EST

Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson’s latest injury is expected to knock him out of action for “at least” two weeks, according to NBC’s Andrea Kremer.

Kremer reports that Jackson tweaked his groin (not his other calf) in the practices leading up to Sunday’s game, which helped cause his calf injury on Sunday night. The Chargers did not disclose the problem on the injury report. Jackson underwent an MRI Monday morning, which confirmed the calf injury.

Chargers coach Norv Turner admitted that Jackson was unlikely to play this week against the Raiders.

Jackson will probably end up on the IR over his calf 'injury'.

Dude played his 3 snaps, now he's going to take the rest of the season off.

AJ needed to move him. He's like Marshall in that I don't think he's really a malcontent....so long as he's getting paid.

When he gets his new contract, he'll be the strong, productive WR he's always been. If AJ wasn't willing to give him that, he should've traded him.

2 weeks was what he said on the radio the day after the game. That means he'd miss the Colts and the Raiders.

Edit: I could be wrong, I don't really tend to follow the injury reports too much.

I look at guys like Tolbert and Le'Ron McLain and wonder how many good backs have been denied a decent career in the NFL because they're fatty fats.
I remember back to the early 90's when the Chargers had Butts and Means and the Chiefs had Okoye and Word. Those were some mean MFers. But there have been tons and tonnes of blubs who've never gotten a chance.

Did Floyd play last night? If not, will he be back for the Chiefs?

Anyways this is good news for us obviously. We played Gates pretty well in the 2nd half of the Monday Night game, and he's hurt. But shit, it doesn't seem to matter with Rivers when he gets time.
