Desktop Wallpaper hidden (Windows 7)

(Sigh) I don't have a virus....though this is pissing me off. My desktop is hidden and I can't get it back up. Anyone ever had to deal with this? It doesn't matter if I try to use a default desktop, it still won't show when I try to add it.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

more information please

so what does your desktop look like?
is it just one wallpaper that you can't see or all of them?
if you add a new wallpaper (right click set as wallpaper) does that show?
do you have active desktop turned on so it's overwriting your desktop wallpaper?

like i said, not enough information
