Syfy's Plan: More Space Operas, Less 'Sharknado'
I think this is awesome news, if it comes to fruition....

Awesome news. They should have thought of this years ago. The channel has only lived up to its potential a few times. Most notably Battestar Galactica.

I remember when the channel first started around 1992 i think? They would show 70s Buck Rodgers and Battlestar nearly nonstop rotation.

Bout time they got serious about their product, they've proven they can do damn good stuff when they want to, a prime example is a show I haven't missed an episode of that's on tonight... Helix... that show is really picking up steam IMO.
But yeah, stay away from the schlock monster mashups, they're useless. |

If that shitshow Defiance is what they are labeling a step toward what Syfy wants to do creatively, I'm not in.

Wasn't Farscape a Sci-Fi original?
I'd like to see more like that. |

Yep, Farscape was maybe my favorite show of all on the network. Along with BSG.
