And you're certainly not the only one who realized ths team was more than a few pieces away from competing. There's at least 10 on this thread, me included, who shared that opinion with you. Difference is most knew the Chiefs needed to build on last year. Your plan just meant that now the Chiefs need even more pieces.

I am not backpedaling. I never said I wanted a JAG OL No matter how many times you shout it. I don't want to spend first round picks and 10 mil dollars on olinemen, especially when they're not even pro bowl level. I think guards can be had in the offseason.

No matter how many times you spin it, you wanted Albert and Schwartz back. That's 15 mill a year. The crowd I argued against, I think you included, wanted jairus Byrd and Emmanuelle Sanders. That's another 15 mill. 30 million dollars on 4 players. We can't even figure out how to get Alex Smith long term, let alone berry and Houston, and we want to spend 30 mill on these guys?

Again... I was okay with taking a step back at oline because I saw no reason to compete this year. Devaluing the offensive line hurts this year, but it will be a huge step in clearing money for playmakers and giving young guys a shot to earn starting jobs on the cheap.

If Dorsey doesn't fix the oline, it's not because he failed to sign veterans like Albert and Schwartz. It's because he didn't draft well. Any good gm should be able to fix and oline through value picks and pickups if you give him 3 years. The approach isn't wrong. So far, his talent evaluation has been wrong and I hope that changes.
