After seeing the first offense gel...

This is the first game we saw Andy Reid properly game plan for an opposing team and finding ways to get the playmakers the ball... and boy did it work.

I don't expect Alex to have that crazy statline in 1.5 QTR of play much this year.. but this performance with the new weapons sure put some worries to end.

KC is most def. going to get a regular season TD thrown to a WR. Maclin looked motivated to actually run routes in this game and it provided great results. He alone opens up many avenues for the other WRs.

Based on todays play.. my projected (ball park) stats for some of the top players to be...

Alex 27-30 Tds 7-9 Ints 2 Rushing Tds 5 fumbles (oline play will have its moments resulting in hits from the blind side...and inevitable alex brain freeze game)

JC 1,150 - 1200 Yds 8 TDs 4 fumbles 5-7 Rec TDs

Maclin 1100 Yds 7 Tds
Kelce 800-900 Yds 5 Tds

yes we know, when we beat them ...no big deal...but they beat us...huge deal.

Playing both sides of the fence isn't witty, it's just you cheering failure and diminishing success.

Chase's 2 regular season games were against an extremely mediocre defense. His preseason success this year is against second team defenses. Yet, the CP faithful think that's proof he's better than Alex Smith. But when Alex Smith puts a good showing against a mediocre defense, we should chalk that up to not playing a good defense.

CP hypocrisy at its finest.

I hear what your saying. But I will say that the Chargers defense is a lot better than mediocre.

In the last half of last year, the Chargers gave up 20 points or more in 6 of 8 games (1 of those < 20 point games was against Chase Daniel). They're mediocre. They aren't terrible, but they're also not good.

Smith, Matt Cassel'd two of them out there....just terrible throws.

Other than that he played well. He's not a deep thrower though.

But **** it we have some speedy midget ****ers runnin around plus zeus kelce..if this oline holds up we have some playmakers - time for Smith to play himself into that upper echelon qb category. i hope maclin can make a big difference without getting hurt.

Smith will force more balls to Maclin.. Maclin is too good not to get that trust.

This fan base is excited. No ones claiming super bowl though lol. Just nice to see us show up against a bad team.
