National media. Like I said I've seen nationally syndicated columnists bitching about Cams antics and this was before the super bowl. I honestly don't get the criticism. I enjoy watching Cam play and can understand a young guy being too upset to say much to the media after losing a big game. It's a maturity thing that he'll grow from.

Pretty much.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

It's well known inside the Gator Nation that it wasn't the laptop incident that got Cam kicked out of Florida. It played a part, but the bigger issue was that he got caught cheating 3 times including walking up to a pile of turned in exams, erasing the name on the exam and replacing it with his own name. He was going to get expelled from Florida for academic reasons, not the laptop. His time at Florida, the $$ issue at Auburn, and the way he acted following the Super Bowl displays that he's never grown up and doesn't hold himself accountable or accept personal responsibility, for anything.

I agree, and I like Newton. He brings the personality and controversy to the game that makes it fun and engaging.

However, if you are going to pull the Superman stuff as your trademark, you go for that ball. And if you are going to have all the fun during the season, you take your post game lumps like a man, not a petulant child.

I think that he's good for the game and they have a great team down there. It's not the last we've seen of him but hopefully the next reiteration is a little bit more thoughtful.
