I don't have an opinion on Nelson either way. Could suck, could be decent. Not enough info.

But I could look good against Hopkins for 2 snaps. That's not anything to go of off

Keep in mind that Nelson was above those 2 at the end of the year. Peters had to come out of the game for a couple snaps in the Houston playoff game.
Nelson went in and did well while Cooper/Fleming sat the bench.

I think that says something.

Really? Above Fleming and Cooper?

Dude, those two suck at corner, although I do believe that Fleming has all the tools to be an average safety.

The Nelson pick is just confusing as ****. Calling him an average athlete is being quite generous. He's a one note nickel in terms of his size, doesn't possess elite instincts, and was clearly slow to learn the defense. For a 3rd rounder. I don't know what the **** he was supposed to be. I would expect Pioli to make a pick like this, but not Dorsey

So you believe in player development with Dee Ford looking like ass year one, but not Steven Nelson?

It's exactly like the Eric Murray pick. Almost identical athletes. I don't understand the hate for Nelson. He's a good football player and I couldn't disagree more that he lacks instincts. He has great instincts, like Murray. He's a good, but not great, athlete.

I feel better knowing we have multiple drafted players that were well thought of this draft as a back up policy if something goes wrong.
Definitely this

And thankfully, Berry will be back there guiding this youth movement
