PC Gaming Microphones_Anyone Use Them?

My son tells me he'd like a microphone for his PC gaming.He plays the usual, Fortnite, Overwatch, etc.

We're looking at the Blue Snowball vs. Blue Yeti and trying to figure out if the Snowball is good enough for what he wants to do with it.

Any input on this question, other microphones to try, related topics, or how to internally combust after chugging a Prestone cocktail would be much appreciated.

If he's watching Twitch and wants to have that "streamer" feel, he'll probably want a tabletop so your choices would make sense.

I'm curious to see if Detox's prediction comes true re: mechanical keyboard playing hell with it. If it does I might send it back and go with the MODA BoomPro suggested here.

Depends on your son. My wife and I bind a Push to Talk key. Some people though like to run with an open mic and everyone else can hear everything.

It's obnoxious as **** as you can hear them mouth breathing, typing (mechanical boards are extra loud) eating....

But sometimes you hear some hilarious shit. Like their trashy family yelling at them in the background.

I just recently switched to mechanical because I was looking for a backlit keyboard and the Corsair Strafe was on sale at the time so I decided to make the switch.

Tbh, the way people hype the shit out of them I was expecting to be blown away but it's just meh. It should last longer than the rubber dome shit it replaced though.
