I was watching this old Frank Sinatra movie the other day and he was driving by a gas station and the price was 32 cents.
Unfortunately i don't remember the name of the picture or i could google up when it was made, early 50's i would guess. |

I remember Corvette Summer, starring Luke Skywalker, filmed in '77 had gas at $.29, and gas was over $1.00 when it hit the theaters.

There's a gas station that closed here a few years ago, but the old signs are still up...I believe gas was like 1.89 at the time...and I remember driving by it back in the day thinking "Good Lord, next thing you know, it'll be 2.00 a gallon! I won't be able to afford to get to work!!"
