There's been some talk about this, and I wondered what people think about it.

Are you a true fan if you pick your team to lose a game?

There are certain situations where you might WANT your team to lose. So yes, you can still be a true fan.

While deep down inside I might not like our chances I will never admit this to anyone else. I will always say we are going to win.

If I think there's a better chance they lose than win, then I'll say that. It doesn't have anything to do with being or not being a fan; it's just the way I see the game. .

Earlier in the week, I thought we'd lose Sunday. Now my gut feeling is that the defense plays well, Bulger blows up, and we win a shocker on the road. I think he's due and I think we're due (on the road).

the only time I could see if you already made the playoffs and just wanted a different first round opponent.

I never want them to lose, but if I put money on the spread it takes a bit of the sting out of a loss, and if they win and I lose the wager, I couldn't care less about losing 50 bucks.

The statement in the poll is ludicrous. I pick against the Chiefs, as do many other Chiefs fans, but it doesn't mean that I am NOT supporting them.

The two CAN be (and, for me, are) mutually exclusive.
