Chiefs sign TE Ryan Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Chiefs signed tight end Sean Ryan on Tuesday. Ryan has appeared in 43 games during a five-year career with San Francisco, New Orleans, Miami, the Jets and Dallas. He spent time with the 49ers, Saints and Dolphins in 2008, catching a total of three passes for 15 yards. In his career, Ryan has 12 catches for 105 yards. The Chiefs also waived offensive tackle Andrew Carnahan, linebacker Curtis Gatewood and wide receiver Kevin Robinson. |

Ryan, 29, is a "Bill Parcells guy" and new Chiefs GM Scott Pioli is Parcells' son-in-law. Ryan will compete to make the club as a blocking tight end. |
