Best place to sell MTG cards?

I used to play a lot back between the ages of 20-24. Went through my parents storage facility and found my box of cards. All still in damn near mint condition. Wondering if it's better to sell online or look for a local game store?

This is how much each card from those specific sets sells on one of the most popular MtG web stores. On eBay you could probably get around 50-75% of the price it shows on this site.

Wow, those revised edition dual lands are worth quite a bit. $99 in new condition.

I still have several in a box somewhere, but they're in played condition, not new/mint.

I tried to sell my old MTG cards a couple of years ago (about the age of these you mention) and was told they were not worth anything. MTG is not really a collector card game as much as a tournament card game. As such, the newer stronger cards are what people use to play with so the older weaker cards have no value any more.

I did have a couple of Howling Mines that they were interested in but literally nothing else.

My plan is to go through all of my old cards and alphabetize them by set. Then I'll just head to a buysite online and sell all of them to the one site.

It seems even the ultra rare card(s) in a set are worth like $20 max...

pffft.

I just did the same thing and ended up selling to ChannelFireball.com. They did knock it down just a bit due to some card conditions which I didn't necessarily agree with, but overall was happy with their customer service and they paid promptly. I thought their online buylist was fairly easy to use as well.

Price given was way higher than the local shop I went to first.

I kept mine in sleeves pretty much all the time.

Also had a couple Mox's and other goodies. Long gone now. Sold the whole bunch around 1999.
