Not Just One, But Two New Delaney/37 Forever Articles
Both written by Jack Britttain, one of the two keynote guest speakers at the 37 Forever Banquet. Both are fairly long, with the longer article appearing on the Northwestern State website (other in the Shreveport Times).
Hats off to Northwestern State University, who clearly have been outwardly supportive and true backers of 37 Forever since the beginning. Any positive article like this means a lot...but especially from Northwestern State University, it's more meaningful, to the nth degree. Thanks guys! It was good to see Jack at the banquet. His story of missing a block for Joe during one of his runs was a treasure to hear the way he presented it at the banquet.
His friendship with Joe is a priority in his life, even with Joe not here. Jack wants us to be a part of the Northwestern annual events.

I really enjoyed the 400 relay story that is retold in the articles.
I'll be making the trek to Natchitoches in 2 weeks to deliver the painting that First Down Elvis so graciously donated to the auction and Mr. Brittain subsequently purchased for display at NSU. It should be a memorable trip. |
