We'll only win one more game the rest of the year, at best, so it doesn't matter where we currently are.

The win was good for player moral, but for draft positions, it sucked.

We need the Cards, Saints, Titans, Skins and Raiders to go on a hot streak and win some games.

1) Consistently drafting in the top 5 has not helped teams like the Cardinals over the years.
2) Smart drafting can still get impact players later in the draft and sometimes after the draft. For example: Terrel Davis, Anquan Boldin, Tom Brady, Rod Smith, Tony Richardson, etc. 3) High draft choices are not guaranteed success. For example: Ryan Leaf. |

It doesn't matter if we draft #5 or #10. It's who we pick. And who will realize the outcome until some years down the road. Same with all the talk on trading Larry Johnson. It ain't going to happen. I see Priest here one more year, Blaylock moving on, and with all the injury potential of Priest, Larry Johnson could be the main man quicker than we all think. |
