Sorry. David Glass now says he is not behind the idea of a downtown baseball stadium. It is said to be a organization choice..... but it is thought that Mr. Glass does not want to put up $50 million of his own money to get it done. Instead they want to go ahead to throw away $150 Million into re-doing Kaufmann. I love Kaufmann as much as anyone, but when it's been proven that a downtown stadium can be built and very successfull making money for $250 million. Not a shock though, from such a great ran organization.

I lived in Pittsburgh for several years. It's at least as "big" as KC. Ours is not a huge city.

It's been proven that putting talent and a winner on the field puts butts in the seats. Simple as that.

I couldn't give one f*** less about a downtown stadium at this point. I want to see a competitive team at The K for a couple of consecutive years. Then they can talk new stadium.

Kietzman is a tool. I don't think it's such a great idea to build a downtown ball club and just throw away the K. ESPN rates it as the 6th best MLB venue:

Winning tends to solve all kinds of problems. I just don't understand why the Royal braintrust hasn't figured that out yet. As for the downtown stadium. Sure it would help the businesses around the ballpark. But the same old question pops up. Where are people going to park? Seems to me if they want to build a new stadium why not tear down the K and build a new one next door. Same goes for Arrowhead since that one is cursed anyway.

I hope they never screw up the Truman Sports complex, just needs updating IMO. I still think it is well ahead of it's time 30+ years later. I do not get to go to many games anymore but truly enjoy the place when I do. A lot of great memories from the "K" as it is called now. Steve Busbys last game is one I am thinking of at the moment.

Glass has never stated that he wants a new downtown stadium that I can remember. He likes the K and wants to keep the team there. KK, IIRC, has property downtown that he'd like to see increase in value.
