Not really. Bill Self was toying with the line up all night. Obviously KU needs to work on some things, but they will get through it.
Also, Washburn has shown they are a very good team. They are #5 in the nation, led by the legendary Bob Chipman, and they hung with Purdue @West Lafeyette the entire game. |

I go out of my way to knock on KU but this is no big deal. Wouldn't give it a second thought if I was a Jayhawker.

Naw, I'm not worried. I do think that Washburn deserves lots of praise for making it interesting for 30 minutes. They never quit. Good job Ick's.

I wish I could be there for that. I have always hated IU. I even used to root for KU to beat them back when Bobby Knight was there. |

Oh, no, we had a bad practice... the sky is falling. It's not that surprising that Washburn showed up and Kansas didn't... If we lose to Vermont, then of course we shouldn't be #1...... and even if that happens, the sky won't fall, because I'd rather lose to Vermont now than in March

Concerned ? Maybe some, but more of a wake up call. KU hasn't played anybody good until last night, really, the games they have played were all lesser talent by long shots.
Washburn has talented kids, maybe not as deep as KU and came into AFH with nothing to lose anyway, they were destin to lose, according to all pundits. Tune up game, time to play the newbies and work the lineup, see what fits and what doesn't fit. The problem with it last night is KU never got into a good game flow because of switching players in and out of the line up. As for losing and getting knocked out of the # 1 spot, yeah, sure it would happen. Why not, if the # 2 was rolling along, the AP voters will switch a few votes. All of these little schools have nothing to lose, everybody doesn't give them much of a chance to win games against bigger schools. That's why you see upsets in the NCAA tourney time. Just think back a few years ago when some big school went to Hawaii and Chaminade knocked them out in the 1st round of that tourney. (Don't recall the name ) It happens ....
