Hate to say it, but sounds like he learned a hard lesson about buying online. If you care about quality, you need to inspect it first hand before you put money on it... It's too easy to be tricky using Ebay.

Is at least this part true: "NBA Official licensed, made by Reebok Hardwood Classics."

Thats the quote that pisses me off.. I've been trading e-mails with the seller trying to get a refund.. Should I leave neg feedback? I warned my kid about this before he placed his bid.. I was quite skeptical..

I would wait to see whether you can get a full or partial refund. If not, then yes I would leave neg feedback.

how good was the buyers rating?
If it was good, then he probably cares about maintaining it. I know the biggest thing I look for on neg feedback is that it was misrepresented and was unable to get a refund. I would threaten to throw that in and file a complaint to Ebay. I don't know if it would do any good, however it seems like it would be easier to him to give back the $45.

Anyway, hope it works out good for you. Sucks that it had to effect your kid.

I think the seller has you on this one... The wording is really tricky, but can be claimed to be true... What does "100% Authentic Product" really even mean?

Indeed, your son got ripped off... But it's going to cost you more headache than it's worth to set it right... So your best bet is to use it to your advantage as a father and make sure that he learns a lesson from this. At least that way, you can get something valuable for the money, even if it's not what you had in mind.

Definitely leave negative feedback... "Sold my son a jersey that was all hype, and little in quality. I'd never buy from this seller again. The quality just isn't there."

If I paid for a Basketball jersey I'd expect someone to hit me in the back of the head with a dirty spade...

All his other items are the same scam..

I have not left neg feedback yet, we have been trading e-mails and I'm still hoping he gives at least a partial refund.. And yes, My son has definitely learned a valuable lesson no matter what happens going forward..
