Who had the best draft ever?

I would think that Steelers draft in the 70's would have to be up there. It made Knoll a genius. Unfortunately he got real dumb after those guys retired and he got fired.

I'd have to go with the Cowboys in the early 90s. All the picks they got from the Herschel Walker deal panned out in amazing fashion. That dynasty was built almost entirely through the draft.

It's hard to vote against that Steelers draft with the four HoFers. I was surprised to read about the Chiefs' 1963 draft, though, which yielded several great players for us: Buck Buchanan, Ed Budde, Jerrell Wilson, and others. We got a lot of years of production out of that draft.

Those players weren't aquired through the draft. Those were from a trade. Pay attention.

They were all drafted by Dallas. The players that Minnesota traded to Dallas in the deal were all released.

n/m, I found out he was drafted in the 11th round.

In todays draft he would have been in the 3rd, but yes, it was the 11th and like the 87th player.

Didnt they also draft Gale Sayers, but lose him to the National League?

wow, that would have owned if the Chiefs kept Gale Sayers... kinda surprised that he didnt go to KC, considering that he played in Larryland. Man, SB 1 would have been ours.
