They *claim* no spyware. I've never had one of those things that I didn't suspect contained spyware though.

There was once upon a time a 'clean' version of limewire you could find out there, but I don't know if you can still get it or if it still works.

Nothing beats a good torrent right now. After that I go with DC++.

WinMX got shut down about Sept 23rdish or so. I noticed it was getting kinda touchy in the final days, and I guess they got served notice that the RIAA or whoever it is now was coming after them next, and they shut down and ran with their tail between their legs. I went to limewire, and I like it alright except for the fact that it's a RAM hog on my ancient computer.

Damn that sucks. I loved WinMX I used it alot except for the last couple of months.

Thanks. I've got it to connect but I think there aren't many people who know how to reconnect because I can't find much. I'm going to keep checking. In the meantime, I'm going to try some of the others that have been suggested. I appreciate the suggestions.

I use limewire almost everyday and dont have any spyware probs. Very few songs I look for I dont find.Also use I-Mesh. It works pretty good also, and no spyware probs!
