Nice streaming music site

You pick a song or artist to start the ball rolling, then they pick similar songs or artists that you can give a thumbs up or down. (You can also skip past the songs you don't like.) Over time it will adjust the playlist based on your likes or dislikes.

Oh yeah...it's free.

I’ve been listening today and it is indeed very cool.

I clicked on the Why Did You Play This Song link and this was the response:

“Based on what you’ve told us so far, we’re playing this track because if features mild rhythmic syncopation, acoustic rhythm piano acoustic sonority, string section beds and heartbreaking lyrics.”

So far, I am quite impressed with how it is zeroing in on my “soft music” taste. There were a few missteps at first, but the last handful of tunes have been very nice. A great way to experience new artists in a specific genre.

Next time, I’ll have to hit it with my “rowdy music” taste and see how it does.

I've had it going for a few hours now. It seems to find all sorts of music that I like, but very little that I've heard before. Nice alternative to the repetitve song list of most radio stations!

Bob Dole is glad some folks are finding it useful.

There are similar sites, but this one seems to have some lesser known artists and appears to base the selections on something other than the standard "other people that like this song also like..." system.

Hopefully they won't trash it up when they start getting advertisers.

Bob are you a registered user? Free? If so, are the ads different than what is shown when initially going to the site? Not pop ups are they?

Bob Dole did the free registration and has yet to hear an audio commercial. The mention of future advertising makes Bob Dole think that it's coming, though. Visual ads don't accomplish much when the thing is running in the background or you're listening from another room.

Haven't experienced any popups yet.
