The Bears D will have no problem shutting down Pitt's stagnet offense. I just don't know if the Bears offense has enough firepower to get it done against Pitt's D. If Thomas Jones can run the football, I think the Bears win in easy fashion.

Chicago has about as much offense as you would get if you made a lineup consisting of Marty Schottenheimer at offensive coordinator, 5 jordan blacks blocking up front, 2 Chiefs backup wide receivers, any current 49er at quarterback, and any Cleveland Brown that played running back from 91-2004.

A great defense can win any ball game for you. Pittsburg should not be favored by so much.

I do not think too many teams are going to beat the Bears by 5.5. I like the Bears and the Chiefs getting 3.

Who has the Bears played all year. Have they actually beat a decent team.
We find out if the Bears are for real, if so. Great for the Chiefs. It makes the Steelers contention even harder.

Bears beat Pittsburgh with D.
Control game Line of scrimmage. Time for Orton/Grossman to step up with Muhommad down field....

I watched most of the Bears/Green Bay game. Orton has raised SUCKS to an art form - seriously, he's just godawful. In the past couple of years, Bears QBs have had an excuse for sucking, mainly because they were running for their lives on every play. But this year their O-line has come together, and Orton's getting both protection and time. But he just sucks. Totally. The new dictionary should have his picture next to the word SUCKS.
On offense, Chicago has the blocking, the rushing and some talent at WR. The defense speaks for itself. The only thing stopping them from being a lights-out contender is the fact that they have no quarterback. It's really kind of sad. That said, I think the line will come down, and I sure as hell hope the Bears find a way. The Stellas need to die. |

I am not here to defend the Bears, I hear about them all day long everyday. I was questioning who they played until they beat the Panthers and TB in consecutive weeks. 13-3 and 13-10. I have played the under on them with great success this year. |

I wouldn't trip on the Steelers.
The only thing i'm concerned with for Chicago is the fact it's on the road. But Carolina has a better offense AND defense than Pittsburgh and Chicago CRUSHED them. If they can take the same performance on the road, they'll win comfortably (though the score won't reflect that). I wondered the same thing myself - "Chicago will slow down Carolina but how will they score?" - well, you know how that turned out. Later Stillers. See ya in 2k6. |
