Mitch H on the local radio show in Springfield

Mitch did his weekly spot for the Jock 98.7 and had a couple of things of note:

1. Art (host) asked Mitch if he thought LJ was done for the year. Mitch said in his opinion, and he has not talked to the doctors, but in his opinion LJ is done for the year. He did see LJ and asked him about the foot it is still swollen but he is able to put some wieght on it. Said he would not be surprized if LJ was able to come back, but in his opinion probably not going to happen.

2. Asked Mitch if we are now officially rebuilding? Mitch still waffled a little.... Said we are going to see some newer players but we are still only 1 game out of the division so no they are not totally giving up on the season so you will still see some veterans out there.

3. Asked about Priest .... Said that he see that he can be compete in this league again and can help this team. Only real complaint about priest is that when he knows he is not getting the ball and is not the primary reciever that he still needs to run his routes with conviction and not give up. Mentioned the AJ Hawk interception. But still thinks there is gas in the tank for a good run.

4. Mitch felt that the Chiefs could win on Sunday with all the injuries to Indy and in his words " They are more beat up now than they were for the Chargers". Feels that Brodie could add a spark to the offense, plus the Indy D now has to account for a deep ball not to mention roll out plays. They are not sure what they are gong to have to defend with Brodie.

And then Mitch's cell phone craped out and end of segment and I had to get out of the car.

Interesting stuff. Thanks for posting, Mr. Stinger.

The rebuilding question and response is kind of odd. What other "young" players do we have who we can realistically put on the field? There can't be too many.

JHC, I am just pumped about Croyle throwing to D Bowe!!!

I think the noise is going to be tough to deal with, but hopefully Croyle can handle it. No Freeny big + .

The noise in Indy wont compare to the crowds Brodie faced in the SEC. If anything, Brodie has been trained to play in big games in big stadiums.

Ugoh practiced and Diem practiced on a limited basis.

LJ is done for the year, IMO..

..yesterday when Herm was talking about touches for PH and KS, and game planning for both, he mentioned doing it for the rest of the season.
