Charley Casserly says we should be thankful and rally behind Herm and Carl...
The Kansas City Chiefs got into the playoffs last year with a 9-7 record on a tiebreaker. When I saw them in training camp, I thought this could be a long year. They were going to try to break in a young QB (Brodie Croyle), and anytime you do that, no matter what his ability, it's going to be a tough season. Add the loss of running back Larry Johnson for most of the year, along with an aging offensive line, and it's going to be a struggle. The Chiefs are a team that has been consistently completive for many years and have been able to avoid the rebuilding period they are now in. Fans in Kansas City should be thankful for all the winning years and rally around this rebuilding effort. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10552054/1 |

How much did Carl pay him to put this line in?

He was smart enough to pick Mario Williams over Reggie Bush.

Let's look at Texans history before last year. Not exactly a prolific team...and it was built by Casserly. So I think I'll pass on taking advice from him. |

In fairness it's better to take a DE over a RB in the top of the first round 9 out of 10 times if you are a bad team. Williams career will almost certainly be longer.

Who needs SB wins when you can hang your hat on the fact that you are probably the best mediocre team ever?
Has any other team won more games in a decade than the Chiefs of the 90s without a Championship? We are the most elite mediocre team EVAH!!!!!
