Salina's a nice little town, in my opinion anyway. Around three hours from Arrowhead, somewhere around 50k people. Not a thriving metropolis by any means, but it's got a decent number of restaurants and that type of thing.

Its a small town of about 40,000. Its about 3 hours from arrowhead. I lived there my whole life and I am so glad I moved. Not very much to do.

You are 19. If I were you I'd move to Lawrence instead. Why do you have to be in Salina?

Actually, Salina is the DUI capitol. The city slogan is "Come on vacation, leave on probation"

Salina has so many cops its ridiculous. If you are 5 mph over the speed limit chances are you will be pulled over.

Salina is cool. There's places to eat every 5 feet. They have two, count 'em, two IHOPs. If that doesn't sell you on a city, I don't know what kind of utopia you're looking for.

I graduate from Salina Central in 1981, still have friends and family there. It's a nice town to raise a family in, but if you're young looking for a nightlife, you won't find much. Cozy Inn is a landmark, and it's close to The Scheme, which is a great pizza joint.
If I were young and looking to make a move, I'd be more inclined to move to Lawrence, which I'd compare to Iowa City, but with a better music scene.

I saw a couple of concerts at the Bicentennial Center back in the 80's
Judas Priest and Ted Nugent. Other than that I've only been there to sell coke. ( I worked for Coca-Cola smartasses) |

Well there are two interstates that run through there so you can drive anywhere you want to go.
