Five reeruned Trades According To Adam

Well, I happen to think some of these are reeruned trade ideas and I certainly wouldn’t trade Larry Johnson to Chicago for the A-Train….no need for him. Why would we trade someone who sits on our bench for another player who will do nothing but sit on our bench as well?

If Miami is going to shop Patrick Surtain and/or Sam Madison for a future draft pick- I’d love to see either one of them here, instead. Either one would be a helluvalot better the McStinkon.

As for the McCardell for Quinton Griffin idea? No freakin way is McCardell an even trade for Griffin! But, hey, if the Donkeys want to do that- that’s fine with me….more power to them for making a dumbazz trade there….

But, of course, Schefter does mention these five deals WON’T take place.

If anything- I’d be elated to see KC ship a draft pick for Surtain or Madison.

http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/7794458

(Oct. 14, 2004) -- The NFL's trading deadline is Oct. 19 and, as usual, it will be quieter than the Broncos offensive line.

Which is why I'm here.

Here are five deals that should, but won't, take place.

The Buccaneers should trade wide receiver Keenan McCardell to Denver for running back Quentin Griffin. The Buccaneers would get a running back that would remind Tampa Bay of Warrick Dunn; the Broncos would get a wide receiver who refuses to help Tampa Bay but would do wonders in Denver.

Miami should trade cornerback Patrick Surtain to Philadelphia for the second round it already traded to the Eagles for quarterback A.J. Feeley.

Then Miami should turn around and deal its other starting cornerback Sam Madison to Indianapolis for a second-round draft pick -- essentially the same price New Orleans paid to Green Bay for Mike McKenzie. Let the rebuilding begin.

Chicago's A-Train, Anthony Thomas, would be making tracks for Kansas City if it were up to the author.

The Chargers should trade Doug Flutie, who is not going to play again in San Diego, to New England, where Flutie can be the Patriots' No. 2 quarterback and finish his career in the same city he started it. Give the Chargers a sixth-round pick. Each team gets something to help it.

The Bears should deal running back Anthony Thomas, whom they're not even playing, to the Chiefs for running back Larry Johnson, whom they're not even playing. Fresh starts for two fresh talents.

Every one of these trades makes sense. Every one of these trades should be made. In basketball or baseball, they would. But not football. Don't look for any excitement before or at the NFL's trade deadline.

Anthony Thomas for LJ, if it were up to the author? What, did he lose his mortgage betting on us in the playoffs last year, and feels the need to hold a grudge? What a maroon.

Thanks fellas, and give each other 20 bucks.

Ah, mucho gracias!

If Miami is indeed shopping their corners, I say we get in on that!

If it looks like the Bronc os are going to trade Quentin Griffin for Keenan McCardell, we should step in and outbid them with Brian Shay.
