Just came back from teh greatest sporting event of my life. Well, actually, back to the office to post this and then grab the car and get out of here before cars start getting flipped. More cops out on the streets than you can point a stick at. Oh right, they're the ones with the sticks.

Anyway -- the Celtics sure as hell showed who the better team was, and the Garden was rocking, showing the pansy-ass Lakers fans how to intimidate a team. Everything was going right for the C's. That shot where Garnett got knocked down and threw it in one handed was sick. Ray Allen bombing threes all over the place (what pathetic defense -- hwo often does he have to hit a wide open 3 from the corner before you put a body on him).

God what a great day. One of the all time greatest days of my life.

CELTICS ARE THE WORLD CHAMPS!!!

First professional sports title I've gotten to experience for one of my teams in my lifetime. Great great feeling. Extremely happy for Doc.

Congratulations, Mr. Amnorix.

I remember the only game I attended at the old Garden. We had great seats right behind the Celtics bench. Watched Bird and McHale and Parish wipe the parquet with the Hawks. It was just a regular season game, but the crowd was unbelievable. Outside of a playoff game at Arrowhead, probably the closest thing to a religious experience a sporting event could ever be. I can only imagine what tonight was like.

I'll bet that place was rocking.

Not that I've ever been much of a hockey buff, but I'd say about 3 or 4 years after current ownership sells the team.

It's no coincidence that Boston sports teams' success has occurred within a few years of an ownership change.

I honestly thought for a while that he was tripping on some LSD. It was hilarious. Love the guy though. The fat sideline reporter chick didn't have the slightest idea what to do.

It would not surprise me if they won the Major Sport Triple Crown...which is holding all championships in MLB, NFL, and NBA at one time. Think about it. Red Sox could very easily win the World Series this year, and the Pats could easily take it down in the Super Bowl. In fact, I would bet both teams would be the odds on favorite to do so.

Loved it... I've been a Celtics "lurker" fan since Pierce got there... Im thrilled for Paul. In fact, I felt a little of that same feeling as I felt when KU won it in April... just a hint. Not near the joy of April's championship, but I am certainly happy.
