It's for a buddy of mine. He had a C5 corvette, but wants something roomier and classier but still about as fast. And he wants to spend under $17k. We found this one with 75,000 miles for $14k. Pretty nice other than having the two tone interior. I had a 99 and it was a fun car. Going 0-60 in 5 sec is much more fun when you have 3 buddies in the car

The 500+ hp 2003+ would be nice, but they are still bringing $30k or so in ATL.

I hear you, I have been looking at a cts-v for the same fact. I bought a c5 vert when they first came out and they are very nice cars. Light years of improvement over the c4. I have also been looking at a c6 and most people say they were a large improvement over the c5.

Also I also most bought a 2003 clk55 but the 2 tone interior was deal breaker also. I believe it was black with white/grey insert, didn't do much for the car.

Also be aware Mercedes of that era are electrical gremlins, quality approved in 2006 and I believe 1999 or older is reliable.
