Is it just me...or are we ignoring the news on Wiegmann?

You know....him going to the pro bowl due to the Kevin Mawae injury.

If it was mentioned in another thread...I have no idea.

Ignoring? Probably not. Not caring? Most likely.

Seriously, I'm happy for him I guess, but meh.

Kind of like if Shannan gets hired as head coach of KC he'll suddenly be a great coach for KC?

It's the pro-bowl, you don't have to be good to go there. Wiegmann is a solid player, but he's not worth crying about.

I figure he was an unrestricted free agent who wasn't worth paying a huge amount of money to keep around for another year or two. And there is no way that he would have gone to the Pro-bowl if he was still in KC. It's just funny to me that's all.

Weigman was getting up there in years and didn't perform well in the kind of offense we ran. He's probably smarter and better than Niswanger, but I'll still take Rudy

Herm's attempted transformation of the Chiefs to a power running attack was an abysmal failure. If guys retire, you re-tool, you don't gut as successful a system was we had.

Thank god with Pioli we'll hear no more excuses as to not having the talent to run some particular system. If we don't, we'll go get the ****ing players.
