It's been a few years since I've been to Topeka, but IIRC, the capital building isn't that hard to miss.

I think it's the building with the big golden dome on top.

Whatever you do, do not merge on to the Mark Foley Fwy. You will want to avoid that at all costs... well not so much you, but the young boys in the car will appreciate you taking the long way there.

Take the exit for I470 and continue East until you see the sign for I70 West. Take I70W to 10th and Madison. There will be plenty of signs to guide you to the Capitol.
