Who would the Eagles want at #3?
I like that scenario the best because it would be essentially like four picks in the first 53. |

I see the only way that we can really trade down is if either of these two scenarios happened. Detroit - Matthew Stafford QB St. Louis - Jason Smith OT or Detroit - Jason Smith OT St. Louis - Eugene Monroe OT The first scenario would involve a trade down with a team who was looking for one of the elite OTs in the draft. Monroe and Smith being the top 2 and then there being a fall off to Oher or Smith. The second scenario would involve a trade down with a team who was looking for a QB. That is unless we take Stafford at #3. |

Stafford would guarantee the best return on a trade IMO. He'll have a good value at #3 and their are several QB hungry teams this year looking to move up. The Jaguars scenario is the best IMO.

That #2 from the Jets would be a first next year.

Just for shits and giggles....if we traded down with the Eagles for the above mentioned picks. I'd take:
#21 - Rey Maualuga, ILB, USC #28 - Alex Mack, C, Cal #53 - Ron Brace, NT, Boston College #67 - Lawrence Sidbury, OLB/DE, Richmond |

Why would you take the Jags over the Bengals? In each case you swap firsts and get a 2nd round pick. The Bengals pick is earlier in each round.

That would be sick, but give me Barwin instead of Brace, hope Brace is still there at 67(if Rey's there at 21 anythings possible)

To address the hypothetical trade scenarios, I'd trade with the Bengals.
#6 - Curry or Brown. # 38 - Unger, Barwin or Britt.

If you took the Bengals deal, there's a shot you could still get Sanchez, recover your Cassel pick, and actually have a franchise QB and a second round pick, while being able to flip Cassel for more assets down the line.

I want us to draft Stafford at 3, then flip Cassel for a mid-low 1st rounder we could trade down to pick up a few extra picks.
Pipe dream I know. |

This poll is a perfect example of how people are stupid.
Two people voted to take #8 and #39 instead of #6 and #38. Six people voted to take a deal that returns 1830 points instead of 2120 points. Out of the provided options, the ONLY one that makes (some) sense and the, unquestionably, BEST of the options is to trade with the Bengals.
